That was show #4. I went to #2&3. Sorry I missed you freaks. I'd like to hit the Rainbow B&G before the show, this time.

I gave away an extra ticket I had for that Sat. show. I ended up sitting next to Tickledrop on DZW.(Remy from Davis, CA.) Same town as me. I last saw her promoting an Adrian Belew concert in Sacramento a couple of years ago. :|

HOW SAD IT IS !

ZPZ will be in my town, St-Hyacinthe, Thursday, October 24th, and I won't be able to see him play.
I'll be working in Québec city, 200 kms afar.

Now, I Wonder why he chose my town ? Cause it's not a very big town. We're about 35,000 souls in it.
I hope he didn't scan the list of Forum members and told to himself "Hey, this is where that Mij guy live, let's go there"
cause I'd hate to disapoint him.

And I have a strong feeling he'll never come back in my town.
Gosh, another life's irony ! So near and so far.
Guess I'll have to drive 60km again next time he'll play Montreal and I'll be available.

So what merch do they usually have at the ZPZ shows? I'm sure there are t-shirts, but what cds (if any)?

DZ has some F.O.H. recordings available at the merch table. He's got about 4 of those out, but only 2 are for sale via his web site, so who knows which ones will be at the merch table. They're all culled from different tours, so there's not many repeats.
Hope you find what you want.

I was just wondering if they would have any of the Zappa albums that they have on this site. The Carnegie Hall album has been calling my name, just not enough to order.

I've never seen any of Franks CD's at any DZpZ show I've been at. You have to go to the source....which is here at shoppage. I did bring Carnegie Hall with me on a drive down the Mendocino coast last week. It was a real nice companion. One thing, those little individual plastic covers for each CD are a bitch to change on a one CD player. I had to pull over even though there was no traffic, just to change CD's! I only played the last three CD's, as the first one is not all Zappa. It's still well worth it. :D

I've seen ZPZ on every visit here to the UK since 2006,and EVERY time they have sold FZ cds. Usually recent-to-the-particular-date releases (Greasy Love Songs, Hammersmith Odeon, Them Or Us book etc ).

Must be a California thing, only t-shirts, hoodies and a couple a DZ's FOH recordings. That's it. Of course DZpZ hasn't and won't be touring here until next year. The last time I saw them was a year ago Feb. making it two years in between tours up this way.

...and Titoney thinks we shouldn't support the other Mothers still playin' Franks music. Bullshit! With DZpZ skipping this area for 2 years, I'm gonna get my Zappa on any way I can and I haven't been disappointed yet. By the time DZpZ get back this way, I'll have seen some 4 or 5 other Mothers shows and flown to LA for a DZpZ show in Dec. at The Roxy. I can't and won't wait for DZpZ, nor should we abstain from FZ's music for the duration. That's ridicules.

What no link? I'll check it myself. Carmel's still a little far for a daze drive that way, hell Santa Cruz is about my limit or Redding 3hrs.the other way. Reno would be cool it's closer. He said there would be some dates next year this way. Must be punishment for all of us ZappaFreaks seeing The GrandMothers and/or Ike, Ray & Bobby Martin. It'll be 2 years this Feb. since DZpZ played near here.
Why do they think they call us ZappaFreaks anyway!?!

EDIT: I just used DZW's search for a show within 500 miles. Zip...Nada! No shows that close yet. I know Carmel's not over 500 miles away either. Hmm? I wonder if they know it isn't. :?

With a master guitar class... Public tickets do not go on sale until Friday, August 2 at 9:30 AM

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame called Frank Zappa “rock and roll’s sharpest mind”. Composer and guitarist, wild man and iconoclast – Frank Zappa was a prolific musician of extraordinary ability whose incredible career was cut short by his death in 1993. Dweezil Zappa, himself a virtuoso guitarist, brings his father’s music to life with a rocking six-piece band in this joyful and masterful salute. We are also very excited to offer "Dweezilla: Learn and Destroy", a special master guitar class with Dweezil Zappa himself. Spots for this master class are limited!

Tickets: $59/$49/$39 / VIP Soundcheck access add $40 / Master Guitar Class: $75
