'Copenhagen Noir'

An anthology of noirish tales set in Denmark.

To be honest, I've read a few of these 'Noir' compilations and I reckon they're all pretty samey. Rarely do I feel like I'm getting much of an insight into the actual cities the stories are supposed to be set in. Oh well.

Yes it is. Pretty damn good. If you enjoy sci-fi comics, check The Amory Wars: Second Stage Turbine Blade which is 2 volumes. I just finished Amory Wars: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3 Vol.3

If you are a fan of the music, it makes it that much better.

I just read autobiographies by both Neil Young and Peter Townsend. While I like Neil's music much more than Pete's, it turns out that Neil is a terrible writer and Pete's writing is much more compelling.

Go figure.

Yes, easily. This is my second time round. When I'm done I shall re-read Children of Hurin and Unfinished tales. Before The Silmarillion I just read Tolkein's newly published King Arthur book.

I'm now almost done with the main bulk of Silmarillion, about 30 pages away from War of the Ring section.

What about 'The Adventures of Tom Bombadil'?

'Havana Best Friends' - Jose Latour

I've read many of his Cuban thrillers. He evokes the place well.

Next up is a trilogy of 'Dexter' books.

Love the telly series. The wife says the books are equally groovy.

Never read that. I will change that soon though. Gonna buy Bilbo's Last Song too when I next get paid.

Thanks for reminding me! I've watched all 7 seasons, but, although I've had 4 audio-books for at least a year, I haven't yet listened to them. So, I'll start that right now! (and I've just seen that season 8 started, so I'll have to go on-line and watch the first of the new episodes, too.)

I liked this one, there's some interesting stuff there. I think it suffered a bit chronologically.

For me, the most interesting part is that because of the large number of audience recordings available, I can listen to most of the events he talks about.
