Filled in on bass for a mates band. Never played with them before. Went well. 12 hours notice was pushing it a bit though.

I'd be heading for a truck driver style divorce if I was. Strictly part time / hobby these days.

It works, it just had a loose wire that's been soldered in place now, but dude, nostalgia is lethal. I had a very nasty stepmother when I was young and she'd give/throw away all our toys. I loved this car to bits but I only had it for about a week until she took it away.

Today is a public holiday in NZ, Waitangi day "celebrating" the signing of a treaty between the English and the Maori (indigenous people of NZ) in 1840. The government are still settling land disputes with the various tribes to this day.

But more importantly after a couple of years of trying to catch the first episode of The Ronnie Wood Radio Show with Alice Cooper as Ronnie's guest dj, today was the day, finally, at long last....bit of an anticlimax but good viewing all the same.

I worked my last day for this week. 3 day weekends are close behind music as being the best. They do give me more time to listen to music. 8)

My internet provider has recently been hacked, enabling said hackers to access address books and spam the contacts....I have no one loaded in my address book, so I'm ok, however, I have had to change my e mail passwords seven times in as many days at the behest of my telco, even though I myself haven't been hacked. I logged on today to discover that after the latest password reset every e mail I have ever received or sent since 1998 are all back in my inbox and sent items respectively! and to add insult to injury the latest message is from the telco advising me that I have blown my data cap right out of the water! I can forsee a 3 hour phone conversation with Ramish Patel from the off shore help desk trying to work through this little issue....I'll probably be engaged to his sister, or at least a share holder in his parents bicycle repair business by the end of that phone call....thousands of @#$%#@ e mails to delete and my PC is making noises I've never heard before and the external hard drives humming like a dynamo right now..... I wouldn't have belived that this could happen...delete obviously doesn't actually mean delete

Hard-drive noise is not a good sign. Expect imminent crash. Do backup...

Sorry for your troubles. If I would cry about my provider problems here, I would bore you to death from so many cases of incompetence, noncompliance and plain disregard...

Ditto: do an immediate backup if your harddrive starts clicking. It's but a matter of time before one of the elements on the disk gives in, and then it'll be over.

This is what ours was doing before it blew:

I have a rather elaborate cough and am thus off work.
If it carries on like this, I could almost take part in the World Coughing Championship in Zurich...

Nope, it's Sigrun. You'll know her when you meet her.

Right now I'm picking what I'm going to plant in my garden this spring.

1. raspberries
2. arugula
3. some kind of flowering shrub maybe one to attract butterflies
