Hi Folks,

Any TV fans out there? Unfortunately, I rarely have much time for TV these days but I do like to watch it when I can. One of my favorite shows is "House Of Lies." I also like "Homeland." Apparently I only watch shows beginning with the letter H.

Sometimes I enjoy the ubiquitous train wreck style reality shows that are out there. My wife likes to watch the Gypsy wedding shows. Because of that I know more about the "blinged out" wedding dress designer Sondra Celli than I should. In any case, one of the shows that I have found amusing over the years is "Celebrity Wife Swap." Sometimes there are some pretty silly pairings and odd behaviors to witness.

With that in mind it was quite bizarre when the producers called to see if my wife Megan and I would like to participate in the show. Hmmmm.... TV or Not TV... that is the question.

We thought about it for a little while, weighing the pros and cons and then we decided... Sure! Why not have a little fun and see what happens? The ABC network is airing a promo of our episode at the end of tonight's episode. At least I think they are. Anyway, if you want to check out our episode it looks to be scheduled for June 3rd.

I have not seen any of it so I have no idea how it turned out. It was a crazy process to go through! Guess we'll see it soon.

DZ

Too bad ballplayer David Justice is no longer married to Halle Berry.

I hope this gets some publicity for Dweezil, ZPZ, and Frank. I won't be watching, since I hate these kind of shows.

Don't see the problem - bit of fun, could get a bit of good FZ publicity.
I get hacked off with all these 'boo - johnny rotten sold out' types, as if they own him - he's just having a laugh, so what exactly has it got to do with them anyhow?
Having said that, its the 'celebs' who have no longer have a career or life, that perpetually assault the TV watchers, that would piss me off if I watched TV at all much.

DZ has been an actor in movies and on TV plenty of times and even had a sitcom with Moon in the early 90s. I see it as no big deal. It's his life so he can do what the fuck he wants with it.

The voice of my bad conscience asks why is Dweezil going to be in another bad tv show,
The voice of my good conscience says this could be some fun viewing.

How I envision it:

Showing the new wife around: "This is my studio..." He enters, we don't seem him again until the couples are reunited.

That's great but then it wouldn't be a show. Lets face it this is just for money, and that is fine, but just say it. If this is how Dz thinks he might get some kicks, then I don't believe it or the guy has no life.
To me this is exactly what Franks tune I'm the Slime is all about.

being the dutiful husband that I am, I didn't mention anything about this to Sabby. She was just kinda sittin' there, and I switched over to it just as it started. "Hey, that guy looks a bit like Dweezil." "Really?"
We ended up watching the whole thing. Glad he's not my dad......

Why? I'm trying to decide whether it's worth my while to stay up til 11pm on the west coast to watch the whole thing. Maybe I'll just try to nap with Up in Smoke on til it comes on.

I watched it. DZ came off a bit boring, but at least he was the most reasonable one of the 2 couples. There wasn't much there there with Mrs. Z. I don't get people who use clothes lines. I think she died a bit when she heard her daughter now has a cell phone.
The Justices fulfilled all the bad stereotypes about pampered, greedhead, lazy, idiotic Americans.

Thanks RK , keep posting to review and I won't have to watch. Sounds like the slime I thought it would be. Could be funny if DZ played that tune, but I'll bet the producer would nix that.

Possibly David Justice's wife's parents who lived in the house with them. They were shown in bed together.

When I heard about it, I wasn't going to watch it. But at the last second I did, just for the hell of it. And I quaintly enjoyed it.

I knew Dweezil had developed a more conservative attitude over the past 10 or so years, compared to his Z days, but I didn't realize just how conservative he REALLY is. Blendered broccoli shakes, strictly organic foods/meals, "no phone zones", etc. Holy shit. No wonder Justice's wife had to immediately spit out the super-sized broccoli drink once she tasted it. I would've too...ROTF!

Considering they have 6 sports cars, a gargantuan home, and that Justice doesn't even know how to cook and expected Megan (Dweezil's wife) to cook for about a dozen dinner guests, The Justice's are very spoiled...but they don't seem like a bad bunch. How could breakfast in bed every morning be all that bad?!

Though, in the end, it was good to see that both families did learn to lighten up and adopt parts of each other's lifestyles, which I guess is a positive thing...

Arkay - I use clothes lines. The dryer is one of the most power-demanding utensils, and causes your clothing to wear out 25% faster. I use a good old-timey centrifuge to get most of the water out and after that it never takes more than 24 hours to dry. Much less than that even, if we have warm weather.
Still use the dryer for towels, but only after centrifuging them.

$1.99 on VUDU TV. There's a free two minute teaser. I'll pass on the rest. Megan looks great as per usual.

It's free after one week at the ABC website:

(Well, it's free now too, but if you wait you don't have to give them your email information).
