What a good job Dweezil did. What a luck he came to dweezildorf - formerly known as Duesseldorf!

Steve Vai was unbelievable, amazing, what else - ? anything a guitarplayer can do, he did. It was a tremendous playing with enormous expressions and voicings.

The band was gorgeous with an extraordinary drummer and bass-man.

There were so many songs I remember and it was a very long and inspired show. (all in all more than 3,5 hrs !!!!). Worth every penny if not even more.

Napoleon was the only guy who was singing, what he did excellently. The only thing I missed were the voices of Ike Willis' or Ray White or Bobby Martin. But what the h....

Thanks to Dweezil and the others for this great evening !!

Frank

Man what can I say...mindblowing, amazing....

I ve been listening to Frank s music for 14 years now...I was 13 when I started listening to it...and I will never forget that day when my guitar teacher gave me "The best band you never heard in you life"...my senses were gone I was stunned and impressed...

Today a childhood dream came true for me cause I always dreamed listening to Frank s music on stage!!!! To see the performances and feeling the music of course...

The show was just amazing...everybody who is interested in music and great musicians should see it...cause it s an experience that you ll never forget...I promise

Thank you Dweezil and every single musician for making this night a memory that will last forever...

I hope that there are plans for a Live-CD or a DVD

Thank you

I just got back from the gig in Dweezildorf....WOW, what a show. The band had the crowd on their feet for the better part of the second set. It was a fantastic night with 3 1/2 hrs of excellent music. Frank would have loved it, so did we. Thanks Dweezil & Co. Hope to see you again soon.

Will

Pardon me if I haven't seen the show yet, if I could I would be on all dates!!! But reading all of Youz these days it seems to me just like being there too.
Thanx to those who wrote the lineup, and thanx for all the Love for the Maestro.
My time is near in Roma, just wait for my re-view.
Ciao a tutti, FZ4Ever,
bruno

Nice concert-hall, good sound, good seating , nice personel aka security, some emotions (Dweezil with some kind of tears), a superb playing band, no Ahmet and Scheila Gonzales without curly hair(watch A'dam pictures!)

The set list for 'Dweezil-dorf'

Best show ever!

After attending opening night in Amsterdam which exeeded expectations.
I Saw Dweezil & Co again last night in Dusseldorf and it was amazing! The band have become a lot loser and everybody was having so much fun. They also renamed the town in Dweezildorf. :)

There were three highlights, that haven't been in any other concerts so far.:

Imaginary Diseases (A NEW SONG)

Sofa with everyvbody in the audience singing the German Lyrics

and a 20 minute encore of Cosmic Debris which started at 23.30 hrs.

Next week Brussels :)

That was fantastic. Frank would be very proud about that, I'm sure. 3 and a half hours of excellent music. You could really feel Frank's genes flowing through his son's guitar.
Every musician was outstanding, esp. Steve with his Strat-abuse.
Deep thanks to Dweezil and his outstanding band.

WAUWWWW!!!! I hoped that the above would happen. I't's that special extra when you see the fun between musicians. I was in Amsterdam and enjoyed it very very much. (Still having a ear-to-ear-smile when I'll think back of openingnight last week....
...will it last? Yes it will!)

SHIT!!!! WHAT A GREAT SHOW!!!
Amsterdam was excellent, but Dweezildorf topped it.
Maybe the band was coming more together in their 5th gig.
This was the best live event I've ever saw since 1988!
Steve was a killer, Terry as well, a bunch of probably the best musicians in the world.
The way DZ is playing the guitar is like spirit, esp. the parts in 'Sofa',
the 'Inca Roads' solo was mind-boggling.
Little discord of DZ and Terry at the end of the solo in 'City of Tiny Lites', but wtf.
I enjoyed also very much the solo of Jamie Kime in 'King Kong', (I thought Jeff Beck is playing).
The only thing to complain is that dancing was restricted by the seats in the venue.
I felt like a penguin in bondage, Z-music is DANCE music (have you seen the exiting dancing Napi?).
Only at the end of the 2nd set we give free rein to us.

Next show for me is Zürich.
Btw, I had a nice talk with the soundman after the show (very friendly guy).
He has doubts 'bout the sound in the Zürich venue, cause noise level is limited to 95 dB
and what’s coming up from stage is more than that he told :)
I was standing just before 'Sofa' in front of the stage directly where DZ is located.
He's playing really loud on stage and high dynamically.
Is it inherited?

if possible, don´t miss ZPZ.

it is the best way to listen and dance to FRANK`s music.

did i say dancing? sitting in the third row, we have to sit while yelling and screaming and grooving. looking at our corner DWEEZIL told us, that he likes `the excitement going on over there´. but no way, the philipshalle security guys forbit the audience to dance. at least during ZOMBY WOOF a lonesome dancing guy in the first row pointed at me to come to dance in front of the band - jooh!!! much space for a few guys and then - hey! - it don´t last long and the crowd began to have a FREAK OUT and many more began to sing and dance and love with music so intensive you gotta move.

no doubt, best band to celebrate FRANK ZAPPA´s music is this one. :D

dweezil terry napy steve joe sheila aaron superb bassman brilliant percussionist incredible guitarrist and everybody else who made this eve possible: thank you very very very much.

hope 4 a next feast
