I was there. I have been to several ZPZ shows. This one was opening night. There were a few sound glitches but nothing for heads to roll about..poster number one appears to be disappointed however! I think the playing was fine and the solos also fine. I think Ben the new singer did a fine job has a great voice and as far as being unanimated hey dude give him a break, its the first night and possibly his first tour ever. Remember , Napolian had been around the world with Frank and had developed his pressence over time and probbably even before he joined the mothers, I know that you are not comparing the two of them...but all I'm saying is that if you give this guy enough time to settle in I'm sure he will do just fine. I would rather see a three hour show too! But they were asked to be on this Dream Theater tour by their friends in DT. Who I thought were excellent!...Could you imagine the possibilities if these guys had the Huge fame and money that U2 enjoy?...And the following too?.. Perhaps then they would be able to afford the guest musicians extra stage hands and equipment for a larger band or whatever!..Don't knock it but rather support it. Bring the kids and educate them about Frank and his great music. Tell them that there was more than just The Beatles, Elvis and Micheal Jackson or Beethovan. Let them smell hear and touch the "Real" real world. (hey I think I'm on a rant!)...but really, the show was really good the Next two were even better. And I'm sure it gets even better as it goes on. Thanks ZPZ....I was not dissappointed in the least. Play on my friends. PW
