Did you see ZPZ at the Music Hall in Tarrytown, NY?

Dweezil and the band love reading your reviews.

Please do not post in this thread if you did not attend the show.

Great show, much different set list than last time I saw them. The sound wasn't that great-don't know if it was the venue or the band. Couldn't hear Ben or Sheila all that well, especially in the beginning. My other complaints had nothing to do with the band: lots of idiots in the crowd (kind of ugly and stupid too)-don't people realize that the songlist is already written, and there is nothing more annoying than hearing people shout out song names (it seemed like Dweezil was getting annoyed), and the seats were incredibly uncomfortable.

Hm, I just wrote up a review, but I guess it didn't save... so here's a short version: Seats were all the way in the back (literally last row) on the balcony, but awesome view and sound, awesome setlist, opened with "Florentine Pogen" and closed the encore set with "I'm The Slime". They also played "Peaches En Regalia" into "Inca Roads" which was amazing. Can someone post the full setlist? There were some songs I wasn't familiar with. Thanks!

EDIT: I'd also like to thank Dweezil SO MUCH for taking the time to sign every single thing that was brought up to the stage after the show was over. I got my ticket stub signed, and when he handed it back to me he said, "Here, have a pick" and handed me one of his picks. He had to have been there for another thirty minutes at least, and I'm sure everyone appreciated it greatly.

I thought the show was great as usual.I had first row balcolny and thought the sound was good. This was my 8th ZPZ show and im always happy with the sound and performance.I want to say that I love that Dweezel doesnt kill his fans with ticket prices.I dont really know any bands who give you your moneys worth anymore-This band does!! I have never seen them play for less than 2 and a half hrs and you cant get other bands to even give you 2.I got Dweez to sign my pick guard off my Gibson and made my night! The way they stay after the show forever to make the true fans happy is GREAT! Keep up the great music and see you next week in Atlantic City NJ.

Amazing show, they really nailed it! I was trying to do the setlist, but they played some songs I didn't recognize... I'm still sort of a noob.

Here's what I got:

Florentine Pogen (I came in late and was told this was the second song, but someone above said they opened with it).
Echidna's Arf
Daddy Daddy Daddy
What Kind of Girl do you Think we Are?
Easy Meat
Blessed Relief
The Little House I Used to Live In
Willie the Pimp
Drums
Apostrophe
Blue Light
Pick Me I'm Clean
Ms. Pinky
Do You Like my New Car?
Peaches En Regalia
Inca Roads
Big Swifty
?? (Not sure, but started off with Dweezil conducting everyone in a comic manner)
(A song from 200 Motels)
Yo Mama

Encore: Keep it Greasy, I am the Slime.

My first time, and you guys were terrific. I attended three or four FZ concerts in the 70s, and this is the first time I have heard the music performed live since then. I was much impressed with how well the band has captured the original sound. I was also pleased to hear my favorite (and I know Dweezil's as well) FZ song, Peaches En Regalia, in the mix. I agree with other comments about some of the crowd, but I figure it comes with the territory. Thanks, Dweezil, for bringing your Dad's music back to life again, it brought a tear to my eye as the concert drew to a close.

Advance Romance is missing from the setlist above, but I don't remember where it fell. If anyone can fill in the blanks it would be great.

I'll agree with the poster above that the vocals were muddy, at least where I was 9 rows back on the floor. I was unfamiliar with a couple of the songs, and since the vocals were mostly unintelligible I have no idea what they were about (other than Dweezil's groupie comments).

Instrumentally though the band was in top shape and superior musicians all. Frank would be proud.

I'll also agree that the seats were uncomfortable, but that is the only thing wrong with this venue. The aisles were wide as were the seats, and the AC cranked wonderfully for a warm evening. Most old places don't offer those amenities.

As for the tools yelling out requests, at least no one yelled "Whipping Post".

This was my first time seeing the band after many FZ shows in the day. We really did get our money's worth. I can't tell you how many times I've paid similar money in similar venues for bigger name bands and felt ripped-off. Hats off to ZPZ for putting it all out there for the fans old-school style. I will definitely catch them again.

Awesome show. I have seen ZPZ a couple of times and it just gets better and better each time. The venue was great except for the small seats in the balcony, made it a little uncomfortable. The sound of the vocals were not great, I don't know if it was the venue's sound system or not but all in all great show. Great Inca Roads and Apostrophe. Keep it up guys. The venue brought me back to seeing Frank at the Palladium on Holloween nights so many years ago. Keep rocking Dweez!!!

Whoops, sorry guys. I said they opened with "Florentine Pogen", but was apparently mistaken.

A man goes hiking. he gets tired after a while and finds a cave to rest in he sees a shining light at the end of the tunnel its a magic lamp he rubs it and a genie pops out. cheap puma
The genie says, "I will give you three wishes but there's a catch, everything you wish for your wife gets double."cheap puma
So the man says okay. cheap puma
First he wishes for a convertible, the genie says, "OK your wife gets double."
Then he wishes for a million dollars, the genie says, "OK your wife gets double." cheap puma
Then his last wish is, "Beat me half to death."nike tn
