Did you see ZPZ at the Openluchttheater in Antwerp?

Dweezil and the band love reading your reviews.

Please do not post in this thread if you did not attend the show.

Imho the best of the three belgian gigs I saw.
No Vai or Bozzio showing off, a thight band, playing comfortably together.

Confident solos by Dweezil, noteworthly going from Vai'ish to really Zappa'ish during Yo Mama.

Maybe a bit to much late eighties for my taste but the show was long and varied enough to please everyone keen on Frank's music.

Thank you, lass and lads, for a very pleasant evening in this nice setting in the Rivierenhof Park

Amazing concert, fantastic setting, superb professional renderings of real great classics. Probably the best music ever produced... Thanks to all for keeping the memory alive. It was a memorable night, an experience not to ever forget!

Nice theater, nice atmosphere. And very nice music. With one of my favourites, Inca Roads. Enjoyed the concert again (for the 4th time). And my 16 year old son and his friend have become fans (no pressure from daddy.... okay, a little). Dweezil: keep on doing the good work. Thanks! See you next time.

Dweezil and his band keep surprising me. A lot of new songs every tour. The musicians showing more of their capabilities each time around.

Ben Thomas is great fun. A class act together with Scheila Gonzalez, both as comedians as well as brass section. Bad ass class brass!

It took us, the audience, a short while to figure out who was doing the lead vocals in Inca Roads; the new keyboardplayer of course, Chris Norton. I liked his Inca Rhodes Piano solo a lot. And Dweezil’s delicate guitarsolo. And Ben’s groovy cowbell. A very Latin American sound to Inca Roads, nice!

At one moment part of the audience decided to leave their seats and move to the stage. In the daylight of the open air theatre and with the stage being low I experienced a moment of great intimacy with the band, especially because they started playing Blessed Relief. A favourite tune of mine, I’m whistling it all the time.

I’ll say it one more time: these are all excellent musicians. They’re amazing technically and full of emotion. Each one of them can play great solos and together they’re a well organized team. Frank Zappa, through his music, continues to be an inspiration. Keep the good work going, Dweezil! And best of luck!
