Did you attend the ZPZ show at the Metropool in Hengelo, NL?

Dweezil and the band love reading your reviews.

Please do not post in this thread if you did not attend the show.

Yes, I attended the Hengelo concert (secret word: GUMBO!).
It was a birthday gift from my wife, and what a gift THAT was! One of the very best!
And people... it was GREAT! I was not really familiar with the Gumbo Variations, but as for the rest... an impressive chain of memorable songs. And smart, tasteful and well cut video additions too.

The way you all seem to play this music with utmost ease, wonderful. And the volume (sound level) was very pleasant too. The guy behind me whistling after each song caused more damage to my ears as did your sound level. But it was worth the trip indeed. Too bad there were so many people packed together. But true, as the show went on, personal space did not matter anymore, Dweezil.
I hope you all will return to Holland soon.

Great singers, great musicians, great show all over!

Thanks a million, Dweezil, Sheila, Ben, Billy, Jamie, Joe, Pete... and Chris!

Leo S.

Thank you , thank you ......and thank you

What a night you gave me and my daughter ....Carlice
She is still very happy about her guitar gig with you Dweezil
It was her first concert ever .....and already on stage playing with a great band
We liked the concert very much, and we hope to see you all soon.
Perhaps I'll bring her sister Sharleena.
Carlice is a great fan since the day that she was born,Sharleena is learning to like your music

So again thank you very very much.

Greetings Ed and Carlice

Location: Netherlands
While the frozen wind began to blow
An’ the Northern Lites commenced t’ glow
We came trudgin’ across the tundra
Right down to the Metropool of Hengeloo
Peek-a-Boo

It was a wonderful show, much more than a band doing some songs. They took us on a trip full of surprises. Awesome guitarsounds by Dweezil. A nice choice of videos with Frank. And, live on stage, a lot of fun with titties, beer and Peter North!

Oh, saint Francesco would be proud of you!

Always missed the tour when in the Netherlands, but finaly I could make it!

What a great show, great performers and of course loverly music.
How nice to see that not only "old farts" are reminiscing, but new fans are there too... How well spotted and leading to some old fashion "audience participation"...
Some nice encores, and Dweezil spending a lot of time signing and shaking hands (missed a plectrum, but got a signature:))

Hope to see you next year too, since i'll be there!
Kees

PS: People who did not go, must be Dumb all over and a little.....

I was there!!
Offcourse!!
3hrd time I have seen them and it was GREAT!!
Seeing Frank on the screen accually made me cry(can't help it,just love the man)
Had some fun over Ben's "python-sneakers" and the possibillity of them creating stinkfoot.(sorry Ben)
For me this was the best show i've seen..that's for sure.
So from the heart I say...THANK YOU.
Please keep coming to Holland and keep overwhelming us with this great music.

See you next time!
Jessica

Did enjoy the Hengelo gig very much. It was moving to see Dweezil look up at his Dad, playing a solo on the screen. All in sync, what timing, brilliant!
By the way, Ed & Carlice, I've made some nice pictures of Carlice with Dweezil, from up on the balcony. Interested? Bye now, Joost

What was the name of the keyboard player in ZPZ, Hengelo, the blonde guy on the right of the stage?

The new keyboard player is Chris Norton. He joined the band in May of this year.

It was my third ZPZ show and (as usual) a very good one! The opening "Gumbo variations" was one of the highlites for me, together with RDNZL and Chrissy Puked Twice (a very funny dialogue between Ben and Jamie the devil). But there were so many good songs to enjoy.
Thanks for a great evening and hope to see you again next year somewhere in the Netherlands.
And Carlice, here are some more pictures of your first concert.

Greetings,
Rob

I was there too; first time I saw you guys and I got to say: it was the best concert I saw in the last few years.
Amazing!

Someone posted a video too on Youtube of Carlice's guitar moment:

I thought that was the finest moment of the show, such a great thing to do!

I was also there, my 2 kids were also at the gig again. I hope next time there will be another place for it because it was hot in there and some smelly old people were standing in front of me....., probably an age thing because my guess is that I was the youngest there........lol. Anyway the concert was great as allways.
