Thanks Dweezil, for bringing Frank's magic to those of us who did not have the privelege of seeing him in concert. Words cannot describe the level of musicianship, nor the immense pleasure I experienced. I can't wait for the opportunity to see and hear more! The only downside was that it made me want to sell my guitars and gear and never play again.

Also, REALLY enjoyed the soundcheck experience! Thanks for making that happen and please do it again in the future!

Brought my 10 year old son to the show - his first "rock" concert. Not sure how I'll explain any subsequent "rock" shows...that was a LOT for anyone to live up to. Really good musicians playing really good music! Great job all!

PLEASE come back to Dallas (or anywhere within 200 miles - we drove 100 miles to see this one!) and bring Mike Keneally and Ike Willis!! (I might drive 400 for THAT one! (Maybe Chad or Vinnie too??? HMMMMMM)

Well done DZ - BRAVO!!!

Thanks Dweezil, Steve, Terry, NMB and all associated with bringing this incredible sound sensation to the Dallas area. I'll be back every time!

I'll take a stab at the 16 December 2006, Dallas, TX, ZPZ set list. Although I am fairly certain that this is the set list that I heard, please feel free to offer any comments regarding corrections / additions / etc., as I want this to be as accurate as possible. The set list is from memory (I don't sit there and make written notes during a concert ..... I like to enjoy the show) and also, from reading set lists from various other ZPZ posts of this performance, as well as others that took place around the same time frame. Reading other posted set lists seemed to help jog my memory.

Also, I took the liberty of listing the album and year [album - year] next to each song. The album I listed represents the recorded arrangement which I feel is the closest match to that which was performed the night of the show. If you have any differences of opinion, please offer comments.

Here goes .....

The show was absolutely great and should not have been missed. For those of you who missed it, hope you get another opportunity. You will be hard pressed in your lifetime to ever see / hear another band having this level of talent, flawlessly perform the music of a true genius. In my humble opinion, no one will ever come close.

I went to the Nokia Theater show, on 16 December, 2006.
I went with my wife, who was rather frightened by concept of going to a
"rock show."
We got there, and she actually felt more comfortable.
Walking in the door, I felt a chill, like never before. I was around other Zappa fans, like myself.
The concert was fantastic.
The Secret Word of the Night was "obfiscate."
The next day, I gave my wife a bit of a Zappa History Lesson.
She said the show was better than she expected.
Someone asked me on Monday if it was the best concert I had ever been to, I said "absolutely."

I cannot wait for this show to return.

Some of my fondest memories during the 70s and 80s and of the 5 times I got to see Frank live. I was concerned When Dweezil decided to do this tour, that maybe some would have said he was exploiting his father, but I can tell you this. The show I saw was filled with nothing more than pure talent and class and something that I thought I would never see, a show that was great and a true tribute! I am simply counting the days till he comes back with the next batch. I have exposed my son to the vast collection of Frank and Dweezils music, he is 13 and just loves it.

I had the honor to see Frank 5 times. I have about 80% of all of his music and have been a fan since someone turned me on to Over-Nite Sensation in 1973. I knew the meaning after that. I was so excited when I got to take my 13 year old son to the show.
