Did you attend the ZPZ show at the Tokyo Zepp in Tokyo?

Dweezil and the band would love to read your reviews.

Please do not post in this thread if you did not attend the show.

Just got back to the Hotel Nikko Tokyo…walking distance from the ZPZ show at Zepp Tokyo. It was a great show of about 2 hours 45 minutes. Highlights for me were the Black Page and Filthy Habits with Steve Vai, and G-Spot Tornado and Ship Ahoy (beautiful guitar by Dweezil!). All songs with lead vocals by Ray White were superb including Doreen and City of Tiny Lights. All musicians displayed their respective technical prowess and creativity during Dupree’s Paradise – excellent!!! The video clips with Frank were a nice touch but reminded that there is no substitute for Frank’s personality and how much we all miss him. Nonetheless, if you miss Frank, it doesn’t get any better than the ZPZ experience!
Music is the Best!

Really nice show.
I've been a big fan of Frank for more than 25 years here in Japan, I can die in peace now.

Started with Black Napkins synchronized with Frank's performance on the screen.
Last song was Muffin Man also with FZ's guitar solo on the screen.
FZ's appearance in the Montana's film seemed to be the same as the one of The Dub Room Special DVD.

Hope not-edited official release of 1974 TV studio show.

Fantastic show again. I got temporal holiday from work and traveled to see all the three shows in Japan. Thank you for coming to Japan.

FZ is my teacher of life. Not only I like the music, I learned by hearing FZ that I should do what I believe it right. I should make an effort continuously to do.

Well traind band played complex difficult songs comfortably. Seeing Dweezil always played with smile, I felt so happy and my heart got warm. All the members on the stage and audiences at the venue seem to love FZ. My exciting experiance.

All my fellows said that Dweezil is a really good man.

I've long wanted to hear a live performance of 'Black Napkins' and 'Black Page #2', so I was so fascinated to hear these songs.

1: Black Napkins(w/FZ)
2: Magic Fingers
3: Carolina Hard Core Ecstasy
4: Doreen
5: Zoot Allures
6: Ship Ahoy
7: Pygmy Twilight
8: Dupree's Paradise
9: Uncle Remus
10: Willie The Pimp
11: The Black Page #2
12: Andy
13: Filthy Habits
14: I'm The Slime
15: Montana(w/FZ)
16: Echidna's Arf
17: City Of Tiny Lights
18: Florentine Pogen
(encore)
19: Cheepnis
20: Cosmic Debris(w/FZ)
21: G-Spot Tornado
22: Muffin Man(w/FZ)

Some fragments of song appeared during Dupree's Paradise were probably:Packard Goose, Drawing Witch, Heavy Duty Judy, and Keep It Greasy. Ray's song may be 'I'm In Love With Porpose'?

same members as Osaka.
Scheila changed her hair style.

A combination of good venue, good crowd, mindsplittingly awesome renditions of melodies that would bug most people, the fact that the band was obviously having a great time too, and Steve Vai twisting my brain into a soft pretzel with hot mustard on it (and I wasn't even high) all combined to make last night the best concert experience I have *ever* had.

Pygmy Twylyte and Carolina HCE were standouts, but very high quality from end to end.

Thanks to Dweezil for hanging around and shaking hands.
What a class act!

Please, please come back to Japan!

I would like to eloborate on how great the audience was at the Tokyo venue. You could hear a pin drop in between songs but they were totally into the music. Where I was sitting, the only problem was a group of Americans (I am American by the way) who would not sit in their seats and consequently blocked the view of the polite people sitting and trying to enjoy the music. They felt the need to yell "St. Alfonso's Pancake Breakfast" to be noticed and Dweezil told them they would have to watch the DVD for that one. A minor problem but I suppose there is one in every crowd!
