Did you attend this ZPZ show at the House Of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ?

Dweezil and the band love reading your reviews.

Please do not post in this thread if you did not attend the show.

Last nights show was amazing for me! It was a life long dream to be able to hear FZ music live.

ZPZ made that dream come true!

They sounded great and would like to thank dweezil and his incredible band for the wonderful experience!

Can't wait to see them again!

Sean

This was our fourth show in the last two years and as usual everything was great!!! The Echineda's Arf, Peaches and G spot trifecta was off the charts,Dweezel's solos were amazing. Ray, Scheila and the rest of the band were on target all two hours and twenty minutes. I'm not sure what happened near the end but a few rowdy knuckleheads made it to the front and couldn't control themselfs, whatever. Well hopefully next weeks show in Westbury will be a little more tame.

I was at the show at House of Blues last night & it was absolutely phenomenal. Although this was my first ZPZ show, there ARE more in my future for sure! I saw Frank a couple times, including his last U.S. show, and Dweezil, you and everyone else did an absolutely fantastic job.
Frank would be proud!!

While I may have been content seeing a single show before I saw ZPZ, now I have to say I'll be heading to Northampton, MA Sun night, probably to Westbury, NY and definitely to Peekskill, NY to drink it all in again. And I'll be back for more next time around...

THANKS FOR ONE OF THE BEST MUSICAL EXPERIENCES EVER!!!

this was my 2nd ZPZ experience. my first was the night before in Wilmington, DE.

what an amazing show and what a great venue! people laughin' and dancin' and payin' entirely too much for their beer! we hardly sat in our seats the whole time. i did see that Knucklehead get escorted out near the end. again, we see music causing big trouble.

my favorite song of the evening? hmmm... i think i recall hearing Uncle Remus, but i'm not quite sure. i drank a lot of beer. (i wasn't driving. i stayed at the Showboat.) i know i was singing Uncle Remus at one point. i'll have to wait for the set list to see if the band actually played it.

thanks for the great show! i could easily see myself traveling to far and exotic locations to see Zappa Plays Zappa.

edit: thanks for signing my Tour De Frank t-shirt for the 2nd time.

WOW! Last night's show was absolutely incredible. I have seen every show in the Philadelphia area since the formation of ZPZ and I was completely blown away! Dweezil, thank you so much for creating memories that I will cherish forever. I drifted off all night in work thinking about "Outside Now", can't wait to see you again.

I CANNOT IMAGINE MORE MUSIC GOING ON ANYWHERE AT ANY CONCERT, THAN WE EXPERIENCED THURSDAY NIGHT, THANKS TO FRANK FOR HIS CREATIONS AND DWEEZIL AND EVERYONE ELSE INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT. FULL DISCLOSURE: FRANK HAS BEEN MY OVERWHELMINGLY FAVORITE ARTIST FOR 34 YEARS . SADLY, THERE WAS A NATURAL UNDERSTANDING THAT HIS LIVE MUSIC WAS GONE FOREVER. MY FIRST ZPZ CONCERT 2(?) YEARS AGO AT THE BORGOTA IN AC CHANGED THAT . WALKING INTO MY FIRST ZPZ EVENT, I HAVE TO ADMIT MY EXPECTATIONS WERE LOW, DESPITE SEEING DWEEZIL WITH FRANK MANY YEARS AGO AND DWEEZIL LEAD GUITARING US THROUGH WIPPIN POST AS FRANK (VERY PROUDLY) LOOKED ON. I JUST THOUGHT NOONE COULD DO THIS AND MAKE IT RESPECTABLE. I WAS WRONG. I WAS INSTANTANEOUSLY BLOWN AWAY THAT NIGHT FROM THE FIRST NOTES AND WAS AGAIN BLOWN AWAY THURSDAY NIGHT. MY APPRECIATION AND RESPECT GO OUT TO DWEEZIL FOR HIS OBVIOUS DILIGENCE AND LIKELY HARD WORK IN PUTTING TOGETHER A BAND FRANK WOULD BE PROUD OF AND PROVIDING US WITH SUCH EXCELLENT MUSICAL EXPERIENCE. I HOPE IT CONTINUES. TOMMY D.

Dweezil and the band but on a hell of a show !!!!

I first started to listen to Frank's music in the late 1970's . He was a great guitar player and composer. He is sadly missed.

Thursday night am sure he was looking down on you with pride, the show was fantastic !! You definitey did justice to Frank's music.

Dweezil's guitar playing was awesome !! it was euphoric !!
Scheila was exceptional with her beauty and talent playing sax, flute, and keyboards.
Joe never missed a beat.
Pete kept the the bottom tight.
Jamie played great guitar.
Aaron played the keys with passion.
Billy percussion work was right on.
Ray White the Lead singer was exceptional

Dweezil I also wanted to say Thanks again for the autograph. It was a honor to met you I was a little star struck at the time and Scheila forgive me for not recognizing you and getting your autograph too.

I was the one that helped you locate the freight elevator after the show that night.

I play guitar also and there were so many question I wish I asked.
I have a copy of your father's guitar book "Frank Zappa's Guitar Book " transcribed by Steve Vai and to me it's the Holy Grail for insight into Franks style and genuis in composition.

I can't wait until your return !!!!

My 6th ZPZ show overall and my 1st this year! They just keep getting better! I sat 2nd row dead center! Dweezil has come a long way since the first tour and Scheila is just amazing! I can't wait for the fall tour! Please keep the tours coming!

Just want to thank Dweezil for signing my fan pack!

Correction for CosmikDebris975, the singer is Ray White, not Napolean. Napi was a guest on the first tour.

Thanks again for an awesome show!

Please post the setlist...the one on the other post doesn't look correct.

Jim D :D

I too was at the House of Blues, I was visiting family in the area, I'm from the UK and have been an FZ fan since buying 'Weasel's Ripped My Flesh' as a schoolboy in 1969. I was fortunate to catch Frank in 1978 at Knebworth, then at Wembley Arena in 1988 on the Broadway the Hard Way tour. I must admit I approached this concert with some misgiving, Frank's reputation for drilling his musicians and their complete mastery of the tunes made me wonder whether the boy Dweez and his band could live up to expectation. However, within 30 secs I was bowled over, those guys knew their stuff and played brilliantly, all were very impressive, the icing on the cake being Ray White. Thanks chaps for a great evening, my brother-in-law, not a dyed-in-the-wool Zappa fan, was also mightily impressed.
