Did you attend the first ZPZ show at the Morse Theatre in Chicago?

Dweezil and the band love reading your reviews.

Please do not post in this thread if you did not attend the show.

Wecome back everyone. Well, well, well... so that's how it going to be? Can't fit you on stage? You're right you couldn't get another thin mint on the stage. The first night of the tour & everyone was having a great time. The Morse is located right off the L line if you live within in it's rail, otherwise the theater is locationally challenged. Beautiful place with great new seats. The main floor had about 10 rows with 10 chairs across & a long row seat against the entire inner wall of the main floor area, there is a rasied gallery above the floor which is still the real main floor with tables against the wall with the same long row padded seating. Balcony was seated & had good sound.
SETLIST
Camarillo Brillo
Black Napkins- place went into a free for all
Tell me you love me
Dog breath-first timed played.. real cool
Billy the Mountain- First time played, muscial magic trick, who the hell can count that? Billy sang all the words, he needs extra pay, about 40 minutes long WOW
Inca Roads- great guitar solo with big balls
Flakes
Broken Hearts are for Assholes- NO you're an asshole!
Bamboozled by Love
KING KONG- solos for the band & TJ walked out & jammed with band
Guitar Giveaway- Guy named chris came up & jammed in A minor
Fembot In a Wet T-Shirt
Outside Now- really love the lead & was happy to hear this one again
IL Enema Bandit- It's Chicago what did you expect! Kicked ass
ENCORE
Uncle Remus- true frank
Willie the Pimp- Jammed like always-
Peaches EN Regalia

The best part of the show for me, as a guitar officianato, was the Black Napkins lead & the Inca Roads lead. I love the Outside Now sound. Everyone played well & they were so excited to play Billy the Mountian, you could tell it took many times to learn, only a great love for the music allows you to play that song! I am looking forward to tonights show, if you are VIP you need to be at the Morse by 5:00pm for the sound check, clue in or you will be kicked to the curb. thanks again shelia, DZ pete, ray, billy, joe, aaron & jamie what a wonderful show. :D :D

I can't wait for the Oct. 27 show at the Birchmere here in Virginia. Did you get the email so you could request your 10 songs? I haven't gotten anything and show is a week from Monday.

This was my 5th time seeing ZPZ and 2nd time with my 10 year old son, Andy. As we were standing in line for the VIP package a gentleman came up to us and shook my son's hand and introduced himself. Ray White! Andy claims he is never washing his hand again. Very cool. The show was outstanding. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

i was the guy with the 10 year old boy (my nephew), my girlfriend and came from seattle. had extra tickets for friday night and he and his dad went. dad was a virgin to the music but is a musician, my nephew had never been to a concert. last week my nephew said to my sister,"yeah, i went to a zappa concert!". she said he just came out with it. message to joe travers, the stick you gave him, he just looked at it all night and later in the car fell asleep with it. funny how all this worked out, my girl and i thought we had bought tickets for friday and saturday night, but we had four for friday. we still ended up getting a ticket from a local for the saturday show. the band as a whole left my nephew in aw and he wants to be a drummer. being a fellow drummer, i could not argue with him. guy's(zpz band), you made a very serious impression on my nephew and his dad. dad started playing again and my nephew is starting out. thanks so much. billy the mountain was great. glad to be apart of zpz history with the first playing of the song in 30 plus years. it made life complete to hear it live. i am looking forward to the l.a. roxy shows and portland, seattle shows!!!!

It's been a week now since DZ posted he finished mixing this show but it is still not on Nugs. Or is it me that is having troubles? Maybe I have to clean out my history and memory and try again if it is indeed posted now. Let me know if anyone has got the download.

If they're out there, I can't find them. They mock me with a seemingly permanent status of pre-ordered. And there are no 25-second clips to keep me hanging on either - not that I can find at least.

Unfortunately, when I registered with the end-site, I opted out of e-mail notification because I didn't want to get an e-mail every time a new show hit their site. By the time I read the important bit about needing to opt-in to receive notification when ZPZ posted, it was too late.

After visiting 22 times or more to check my stash, and after coming away feeling lost and empty every time, I finally broke down and ordered some shows from them. They gave me 24 hours to download and then my (purchased) shows expired.

So now I live in fear that one day I will forget to check, only to go and see that the show no longer says pre-ordered, but now says download expired.

Help! I'm becoming bitter and disenfranchised...

I just downloaded the show, and in IMHO it was well worth the wait! They took the time to get it right, and the sound quality is excellent!

Thanks Dweezil and crew. Now I get to relive the incredible show! 8)

I can put this download in one word. "DAMN" this is great, I thought this sounded great in the theater but boy did they clean this up. It sounds perfect. DZ wasn't kidding when he said it would be studio quality :D

48kHz and 320kbps?

I retract my request for FLAC files. What would be the point for 95% of listeners? I thought I was the only one left alive who encoded their music at 320. Dweezil you have set a new standard for live recording>mp3 distribution. I guess it is sort of a family tradition to push the envelope, and evidently this tradition is not limited to the dynaflangers.
