Did you attend the first ZPZ show at the Le Gesu in Montreal?

Dweezil and the band love reading your reviews.

Please do not post in this thread if you did not attend the show.

Great show once again!

I'd say it might even be the best one yet in Montreal... Can't wait to see you again tomorrow.

Set list (according to the one Sheila gave me, thanks to her):
(the * indicates fans requests)

1. Pound for a Brown
2. Zomby Woof*
3. Cheepnis
4. Flakes
5. Broken Hearts
6. Bamboozled
7. King Kong*
8. Billy the Mountain
9. Guitar Giveaway
10. I'm the Slime
11. Peaches in Regalia*
12. Echidna's Arf
13. G-Spot Tornado
14. Inca Roads*
15. Dog Breath
16. Illinois Enema Bandit

Encore:

17. Black Napkins*
18. Camarillo Brillo
19. Muffin Man

Final song time permitting:

20. Willie the Pimp

Once again, amazing show even though some of the band members seemed beaten up. Maybe the road, maybe the lack of rest, maybe the beginning of a cold...? Anyways, they got better after a few song. Maybe the cold medecine kicked in or maybe it was the level of energy that Montreal seems to be famous for amongst the band members that gived them an extra boost of energy. I don't know but you did a solid performance, as always.

You guys amaze me even though you usualy have only one solo per night. You seem to enjoy playing these song and it's contagious to the crowd. Sheila, you look as beautiful as ever (we should hook up next time you come to Montreal...). The rest of you guys are just plain crazy (in the best way possible) and it's a lot of fun to watch you play! I hope that this tour also gets immortalized in a DVD release (please!).

It was my fourth time seing you guys and going again tomorrow. I can't wait. Totally worth it, especially since I was in the third row. I cross my fingers to win the guitar next time (it's was gorgeous!)...

L-P

Another amazing show!. I brought along a friend who was not to familiar with Frank's music(!), he was blown away. Tightest and most versatile band he has ever seen, I recall hearing something like "Frank is God" several times. saw you in Ottawa in the summer, thank-you to everyone in the band.

Absolutely amazing! It was my first time at that venue even if I'm from around here, and it's basically like having the band in your basement; so much for the neighbors !!!

I was invited buy a buddy of mine who bought almost the last tickets to be sold for the 1st show (before the 2nd one was announced) and we were to be sitting at the very corners of the hall. But by hanging around before the showed started Lady Luck burned away our chance to win a guitar by doing something just as good: a member of the Gezu staff came up to us and asked "where are you guys seated?". Upon seeing our situation he grabbed our tickets and said "here, E2 and E4!". This is FIFTH ROW, DEAD CENTER !!! I wasn't hearing the guitar from the PA, but straight from the amps !!! And needless to say we were blowing away, quite literally. I have no clue when something like this will happen again, if ever.

Thank you very much Dweezil for blasting my eardrums to smithereens. Unfortunately I'm not going to the second show ( :P to those who are!) so I'll have to wait for your next trip up here.

Music is the BEST !!!!!!

We were there and we are going back tonight. My girlfriend and I realy enjoy the show. Dweezil and the band members seams to realy love the Montreal crowd.

I remember how amazed they were at the first show at the Metropolis in 2006. I think I have a bit of a clue for you guys and girl of the band about such a great respond to Frank music here in the province of Quebec.

I think it has someting to do with the fact that we speek french, francophone they say, or if you prefer we are Frank-O-Phone... I think that we don't understand all the lyrics so we focusing on the music that it is played. That might explain why progressive rock band such as Genesis and Yes almost start there career with the help of the crowd in the province.

I'm I right? Maybe not but it is my own two cents in the story... Just wish I did not put myself in a Hell Hole with this.

Can't wait for the show tonight there's many songs to play. Just hoping that you will play Gas Station and Dirty Love those two songs means a lot to me.

Regards from a Frank-O-Phone,

Charles

"When the water gets on 'em..."

AMAZING show! Relentless. Full of fun. I laughed myself silly (ok, er).

Turns out there IS a place called the Hell Holes, it's a nature trail and caves kinda place, as my buddy Physeddy pointed out the fucked up thing is that it is near to Centreville... "A real nice place to raise your kids up". Quite possibly a mountain named Billy?

Thank you to the band.. er'mazing.

Great show ! Everyone was mesmerized by the musicianship. Absolutely loved Billy The Mountain... gone back to my copy of Just another band from LA...... thanks for sending me back in time !
This was my sixth ZPZ show having seen them 3 times on the East Coast this past August, I was sitting in the front row and I loved every minute. Thanks to Dweezil for the handshake and the autograph and to Sheila for her Cartman and the setlist ! Joe Travers, you're the best ! Forget to ask you on the street before the show : who is (was ) in your humble opinion of course the best drummer that Frank played with ?
See you soon again i hope.
