Wow, I think the only thing one needs to say after that is thanks, write a review? right ... that was amazing ... The band is soooo TIGHT, my god, I think Dweezil was enjoying running them through their repitiore. Poor Joe though that's gotta be tough ! Ray White what a talent, what a voice

BEST WILLIE THE PIMP EVER!

Watching Dweeze watching his dad play the muffin man solo was classic but what else could you do but watch, I'm gonna say it again AMAZING

So I'll say it: thanks Scheila, Aaron, Jamie, Pete, BILLY, Joe, RAY WHITE you rock and remember "I'm a Beautiful guy!" and of course Dweezil thank you all !!! FZ. of course he was there in a big way ...

my 3rd. show I think the best one so far, the band just seems to get better and better, the respect for the music really shows ... and a great bunch of Human Beings as well, what more could you ask for. I've said it before don't miss this show

hoping to catch a 4th in Europe, in the fall

Dweezil come back soon and have fun in Montreal!

Music is the best

I was invited a month ago to attend this concert and even though I was never a big fan of Frank's music nor very familiar with it I accepted the invitation. Wow am I am happy I attended this show! It was one of the best concerts I have seen in my life. The music is genius and Frank's son does a great tribute to his dad and sure knows how to play. All in all it was a great night and I have become a Hugh fan !

Well if anyone in the band reads this, thanks! Great show last night, I really enjoyed my first taste of live Zappa. Ray was fantastic, he's definitely got a good set of pipes on him.

Highlights for me were Andy, Tiny Lights, Pygmy Twylyte, and Muffin Man. Muffin Man made me a little teary eyed, I won't lie.

I'll be back if there's a next time!

some random observations on the ZPZ Toronto show...the execution of the compositions was very impressive (and in the case of "G-Spot Tornado" mindblowing)...the extended jams had a great "feel" to them (pointless to specify, they were all great)...I thought that early on in the first set that Dweezil's guitar wasn't cutting through in the mix, but by the time he got into that showdown with Ray this problem was remedied...Joe was particularly impressive and sounds like he benefited from spending time with Terry last year - especially impressive is that he recreates the feel and style of a few very talented and stylistically divergent drummers (Terry, Vinny, Ralph, Chester, Aynsley, David, Chad)...Ray was in fine voice and looked like he was having alot of fun...good god, give Jamie a little bit more - that guy can rip too...as is quite evident there are many Hardcores who miss FZ dearly, whose lives were changed and enriched from his music, intelligence, wit, universe-view, humor - so nice that we can have his music given such a faithful and reverent rendering, to have it lovingly pushed through the air in real time...keep up the fine work Dweezil and Company...I'm sure that Mom is proud and that Dad is out there listening...putting on the eyebrows...weighing every note...knowing what's good, but never letting you slide when you slip up...

maybe I should specify a few things...the middle section of "My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama" always cracks me up and I thought that the band pulled it off nicely..."Pygmy Twylyte", "San Ber'dino", "Andy", "Advance Romance", "City Of Tiny Lights", "Carolina Hardcore Ecstacy", "Illinois Enema Bandit", "Willie The Pimp"...holy s#%t, what a show, now that I've come back down to Earth and think about what I just saw...to those of you who haven't seen the tour yet - you are all in for something VERY special...

Dweezil and ZPZ members

Thanks for your visit to Toronto last night. I have been a longtime FZ fan and having had the good fortune to see the Mothers a couple of time in years gone by I was not sure how you would tackle Frank's music. You sounded great and I am sure he would have been proud.

I caught an early tour for Chunga's Revenge at Massey Hall and then the Overnite Sensation show at the Gardens where I was lucky enough to meet FZ and had him sign a couple of albums - one of my lifetime thrills. Last night's concert will be another fine memory.

Keep up the good work, I look forward to your next tour.

Brian

I just wanna say that last nights show was totally mindblowing for me. I'm far too young to have experienced one of Frank's shows, so I am truely thankful to Dweezil and the ZPZ crew for coming out and bringing Frank's music to life again. Ray's voice was just amazing. The whole band played just spectacular. There were too many highlights to list but some of them included Brown Shoes Don't Make It, Andy, Willy the Pimp, G-Spot Tornado, Dupree's Paradise, and the ever powerful Muffin Man. Dweezil did an awesome job of conducting the band during Paradise, and each member got a chance to shine. Totally amazing job by everone involved, and I hope you guys all return next year.

My 3rd time seeing Dweezil & co and they just keep getting more amazing every time!Only setback for me..volume too low in the 1st set.But after everything they offered us, its a minor complaint.Mr. White's vocals were astounding...Dweezil was on fire, the set list gave us an effective glimpse into what Zappa was all about(Wicked wit, humour, musical prowess, and, in my opinion ,some of the fattest funk grooves the 70's ever produced).I just pray Dweezil keeps this project going for some time to come, because, sadly, we wont get this kind of live musical brilliance anywhere else.Cheers lads(and laddie)!

WOW! Once again Dweezil and the band did an amazing job. I was at the ZPZ last year in Toronto (featuring Steve Vai and Terry Bozzio) and was blown away. I was curious to see how this show would compare and it was awesome. A completely different songlist from last year's show. Not one song was repeated from last year's show. At this rate ZPZ can tour every year for the next ten years or so, dig deep into Frank's catalouge of songs and always perform new song lists on each tour. What a treat to hear "Carolina Hard Core Ecstacy". Ray White was great and the core band is so tight. What an incredible ensemble of musicians you have assembled Dweezil. Once again, Sheila Gonzales blew me away. She is mesmerizing to watch as she rocked all night long. Sheila, you did a great vocal job on "Dirty Love". Dweezil took centre stage more this year and did a great job leading the band. What a fantastic guitarist.
I am fortunate to have seen Frank Zappa 3 times during the '70's. Last year I took my 23 year old nephew (who's a drummer) to see ZPZ and he still raves about it. This year I took my two daughters (19 and 20 years old) and they haven't stopped talking about the show. They were touched and amazed by the video sequences of Frank playing lead and the band accompanying him. They want to see the show again and get their friends to go next time. There is a whole generation of new, younger fans out there that want to hear and see the playing of Frank's music. It was evident at the show last night. I noticed a lot of young people in the audience rocking and bopping to the music, along with the older hard core fanatics. There was a great vibe in the audience last night.
Please come back next year Dweezil and every year after.

Thank you so much Dweezil and band, you almost brought me to tears on more than one occasion.
I'm 36, I got into Frank right around the time he stopped touring, and it always kind of bugged me that I never got to see him. About six months after he died I had a portrait of Frank tattooed on my leg taken from the back of Them Or Us, where he's holding the green oven mitt and giving "The Eyebrow." That was over 13yrs. ago. Wow. You can bet I was wearing shorts for the concert!
Albums, books, videos, interviews...everything I learned about Frank only made me like and respect him more.
Last night put me in that concert I thought I'd never see, I'm very grateful.
Dweezil, you were the only person in the world that could pull this off; artistically, ethically, and professionally. I can only imagine what a challenge this must have been to put together, and it was INCREDIBLE!
All the best in all of your pursuits, I hope I can see you again.

My name is Scott and I saw ZPZ in Pittsburgh.
Great show.

I got a tee-shirt at the show (the one with
Frank in the elevator - the best Zappa photo
of all time) and today was the first day that I wore it (in public).

I got looks of recognition from SO MANY people!!!
Three of these people were just blown away by it.
A guy polishing the floor in a post office in AMBRIDGE, PENNSYLVANIA
said, "Hey, great shirt!" We talked for a few minutes about the show.

Another guy at Trader Joe's in Easy Liberty, PA got my attention as I was shopping and said, "Great tee-shirt." I made sure to check out at his register and we talked about Zappa for awhile. He appreciated Frank's musical genius, but said that it was "too much" for him. I told him that he was correct to see that, whether he liked Zappa music or not.

Then Cute Debbie at the local gas station laughed out loud when she saw my wonderful, beautiful TEE SHIRT. She said that her ex-husband used to sing Frank Zappa songs to her. I told her, "I like the guy already."

I am going to wear this EMM-EFFER everywhere!!!
